What I collect when you use katieallred.com, why I collect it, who helps me handle it, and how to get it changed or deleted.
In plain English
I collect your name and email when you join my list, fill out a form, or book a call, and payment details when you buy something (handled by the payment company, not me). I never sell or hand your information to sponsors or anyone else. Google Analytics cookies help me see which pages people read (in Europe and the UK, only if you say yes), and you can turn them off anytime. The site runs no ad trackers. You can unsubscribe, or ask me to delete your information, anytime.
Who I am
Katie Allred Consulting, LLC (“I,” “me,” or “Katie Allred”) runs katieallred.com from Nolensville, Tennessee, USA. This policy explains what information I collect when you visit this site or buy from me, and what I do with it.
Send questions or requests through the contact form.
What I collect
Information you give me:
- Name and email address when you join my email list, download a free resource, or send me a message
- Anything you write in a form or booking question, like details about your church, organization, or event
- Billing details when you buy a service or product. Card numbers are collected and processed by the payment company (Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, or TidyCal). I never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically:
- Server logs. The company that hosts this site (Cloudflare) records basic request data such as your IP address, browser, and the page you asked for, to keep the site running and secure.
- Analytics. Google Analytics records how visitors use the site: pages viewed, how you arrived (for example, from a search or a link), your general location, device, and browser. I use it to see which pages are helpful and what to write next. If you’re in the European Union/EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Everywhere else they’re on by default, and you can turn them off with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you decline (or, in those regions, don’t choose), Google receives only basic, cookieless signals (such as a page view) that can’t recognize you from one visit to the next. Google Analytics doesn’t share your IP address with me.
- Embedded tools. Forms, the booking calendar, the email sign-up form, and videos load from the services listed under Services I use. When they load, those services receive your IP address and browser details and may set their own cookies.
Apart from Google Analytics, this site doesn’t use advertising pixels or tracking cookies.
How I use it
- To deliver what you bought, and to talk with you about it
- To answer your messages and schedule calls
- To send my email newsletter, updates, and the occasional sponsored email from a partner I’ve vetted. I write and send those emails myself; the sponsor never gets your information.
- To keep records I’m required to keep, like tax records
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and I don’t share it with sponsors or advertisers.
Legal basis (EU and UK visitors)
If you’re in the European Union or United Kingdom, I rely on:
- Contract: to deliver services you’ve bought
- Consent: for my email list (withdraw it anytime by unsubscribing) and for analytics cookies (change your choice anytime under Cookie settings at the bottom of any page)
- Legitimate interests: to reply to messages you send and keep the site secure
- Legal obligation: to keep records the law requires
Services I use
These companies handle information on my behalf. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (site statistics): sets cookies (in the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland only with your consent) to tell visits apart and count returning visitors. Ad features are turned off. You can also opt out with Google’s browser add-on or by blocking cookies. Google privacy policy and how Google uses this data
- Cloudflare (site hosting and security; it also tells the site which country a visit comes from, so the cookie banner shows where it’s needed): Cloudflare privacy policy
- SendFox (my email list): stores your name and email so I can send newsletters. The sign-up form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. SendFox privacy policy
- Tally (contact and download forms): Tally privacy policy
- TidyCal (booking calls, including meetwithkatie.com): collects your name, email, and booking answers, and payment if a session is paid. TidyCal privacy policy
- YouTube (embedded videos, in privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube doesn’t set cookies until you press play): Google privacy policy
- Stripe, PayPal, and Venmo (payments): Stripe, PayPal, and Venmo privacy policies
Cookies
If you visit from the European Union/EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a banner asks whether you’re OK with analytics cookies, and none are set until you choose Accept. Visitors elsewhere have analytics cookies on by default. Anyone can change their choice anytime with Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. If you decline, I delete the analytics cookies this site set. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) so the banner doesn’t keep asking.
Cookies on this site come from:
- Google Analytics (in the EU/EEA, UK, and Switzerland, only if you accept), which sets first-party cookies (named
_ga) to count visits and returning visitors - Embedded tools listed above, when they load or when you use them
- Affiliate programs, set by the retailer’s site after you click an affiliate link, so the retailer knows I referred you (see my affiliate disclosure)
You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. Some embedded forms or the booking calendar may not work without them.
How long I keep it
- Email list: until you unsubscribe
- Purchase records: 7 years, as US tax law requires
- Messages and form submissions: up to 2 years
- Booking details: up to 2 years after your call
Your rights
Everyone can ask me to:
- Show you the personal information I have about you
- Correct anything that’s wrong
- Delete your information (unless I’m legally required to keep it)
- Stop emailing you. The fastest way is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA) also have the right to know what I collect and how I use it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (I don’t sell or share it), and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
EU and UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR) also have the right to data portability, to restrict processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, send a message through the contact form. I’ll respond within 30 days.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you’re 13 to 17, you’re welcome to browse, but you’ll need a parent or guardian to make a purchase. If you think a child has sent me personal information, let me know and I’ll delete it.
International visitors
This site is run from the United States. If you visit from somewhere else, your information will be processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
Changes to this policy
When I update this policy, I’ll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, I’ll let email subscribers know.
Questions about any of this?
Send me a note through the contact form and I'll get back to you within 30 days, usually much sooner.
