A lot can happen in the span of a year.
I actually got my braces on in 2012 and to say that I only had them on a year would be deceitful. I should have only had them on a year, but I digress. Life happens and sometimes you just want to postpone surgery as long as possible.
I got my braces on in July 2012. I chose to get braces because my teeth were pretty crooked and my bite was pretty off. I kept getting cavities and knew that wouldn’t change without getting them spaced out correctly.
I moved to Tennessee in July 2013. I was supposed to have surgery this month, but postponed it cause I found a great boss.
I had upper jaw surgery on this day, April 25, 2014.
Today has been a full year of recovery.
Is everything recovered?
No, I still can’t feel the roof of my mouth or my front two teeth.
Could it still? Yes. God has seen me this far and I know if He wants to wake up the roof of my mouth, he can at any moment. Until then, I’m praising him in his faithfulness on medical bills and insurance and things that I wasn’t sure was ever going to work out.
He’s faithful. Braces and upper jaw surgery were terrible. But I mean, look at these teeth below.
Let me know if you have any questions about braces or upper jaw surgery and I’d be happy to answer!
